Canadian Heroes

The mural 80ft long, titled Canadian Hero, is located at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans unit 283. a collaborative effort by artists Franklin Fernando and Mandy van Leeuwen.

Artwork is an exploration of the spirit and heroism of Canadian Services. It’s an accessible space where passers by can learn and be inspired by the tribute meant to symbolize the cultural diversity of honouring the Canadian Services.

depicts four veterans: Megan Couto, Lester Brown, Jennifer Casey and Tommy Prince.

Bhairavi and the Peacock

The  art piece created for Renew project is called  Bhairavi and the peacock.  An effort to introduce Traditional  Tamil  tales surrounding culture and nature to a newer audience to enjoy. 

The legend goes, a boy have returned to his homeland as a peacock. Only Bhairavi's love can break the spell, But she is Indecisive and time is running out , since the bandits have heard about a come back of the colourful bird.

Folklorama 50

The mural is located at 847 Notre Dame Avenue and features aspects of different cultures and countries that take part in the Folklorama festival. The mural is a collaborative project by Franklin Fernando and Many Van Leeuwen.

Home Sweet Home

Key Four Properties commissioned renowned mural artist Mandy Van Leeuwen to create this unique and vivid mural which depicts important events in the 1970’s, and in the years before and after. Mandy and Franklin Fernando brought this hundred foot long mural to life on our south facing wall.
